Gold, silver and turquoise pin has a safety-pin back and a link to suspend the pin from a chain. Engraved on the pin is: "Mrs. Warren G. Harding. From the Women of Utah. / June 26, 1923." The front of the pin has a chunk of turquoise surrounded by a hand-wrought border of leaves and flowers in gold and silver.

Known as “The Duchess,” Florence Mabel Kling Harding served as First Lady from 1921 to 1923 as the wife of President Warren G. Harding. Daughter of the richest man in a small town–Amos Kling, a successful businessman–Florence Mabel Kling was born in Marion, Ohio, in 1860, to grow up in a setting of wealth, position, and privilege.
